The club is open to children aged between three and twelve years and is located on the first floor of the nursery. The Club is registered with the Welsh Assembly’s Care and Social Services Inspectorate of Wales and can accommodate up to forty children with a staff : child ratio of 1 : 8, however there is seldom more than twenty children up there. Children are escorted to school if they have attended Breakfast Club and they will be collected at the end of the school day if they are attending After School Club.
The club aims to provide a safe and stimulating environment and the activities undertaken are fun and will enhance the development of those attending. If the weather is good, many of the activities are conducted outdoors. Some of the indoor activities include word searches, quizzes, art and craft, Play Station, Pool, Table Tennis and board games. After School Club allows children to socialise with different children from other schools. A calendar of events is always put together for holiday club and would normally include a trip as well as a walk and a picnic.
